PHP function checkdate
This function checks for a valid date, and it returns true for a valid date and false otherwise.
Syntax checkdate
- m: month (1 to 12)
- d: day for a particular month
- y: year
checkdate(m, d, y);
Example 1
<?php $year = 2011; $month = 1; $day = 31; if (checkdate($month, $day, $year)) { echo 'it is valid'; } else { echo 'it is not valid'; } ?>

it is valid
